The Uffizi Galleries in Florence reopen to the public: the opening of Palazzo Pitti is scheduled for Thursday 28 May and the Uffizi will be on Wednesday 3 June. This was announced by director Eike Schmidt on the occasion of the reopening of the Boboli Gardens on the morning of 21 May. "Even if we were ready across the board - Schmidt said - we declined these openings by following the indications of the scientific technical committee to the letter: first the open-air museums, such as Boboli, then the small ones, with less than one hundred thousand visitors per year Finally, the largest, such as the Uffizi. Obviously we have prepared all the measures envisaged in an antiCovid function and aimed at guaranteeing social distancing. "
